New UK trailer for SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS

Let’s face it, the summer of 2011 was pretty hit and miss for movies, and in the minds of many mostly miss. But the year ain’t over yet, and in the next few months there’s going to be a lot of silver screen goodness to choose from. Just before Christmas, we’ll get another dose of director Guy Ritchie’s vision on the classic Sir Arthur Conan Doyle detective with SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are back as Holmes and Watson respectively, and the original THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO star Noomi Rapace is along for the ride. Jared Harris plays Professor Moriarty, and Rachel McAdams is back in some capacity, though probably not a lot. In the new UK trailer (courtesy of MSN UK) you’ll see a lot more of McAdams, and plenty of action… one thing is for sure, this one looks pretty exciting. I enjoyed the first film a lot, just found the finale (in particular the fight with the baddie) a bit weak. We’ll find out if the second outing can outdo the first soon enough. Check out the new trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Sherlock Holmes has always been the smartest man in the room…until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large–Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris)–and not only is he Holmes’ intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective.
