KICK-ASS is becoming one of the most anticipated films of 2010, and with each new clip or trailer released, the hype keeps soaring to new and exciting levels. Well there’s yet another trailer now, and it finally gives us a pretty decent look at all of the characters, including Big Daddy (played by Nicolas Cage) and the film’s main baddie (played by SHERLOCK HOLMES star Mark Strong). This is one I can’t wait to see. Check it out.
Born and raised in Dallas, Mark has been a movie critic since 1994, with reviews featured in print, radio and National TV. In 2001 he started the Entertainment section of the Herorealm website, where he contributed film reviews and celebrity interviews until 2004. After three years of service there, he started Bigfanboy.com, which has become one of the Dallas film community's leading information websites. Bigfanboy hosts several movie screenings in the Texas area, and works closely with film and TV studios and promotional partners to host exciting events and contests. The site also features a variety of rare celebrity and filmmaker interviews, and Bigfanboy.com regularly covers the film festival circuit as well. In addition to Hollywood reporting, Mark has worked for many years as an advertising and sci-fi/comic book artist. Clients have included Lucasfilm Ltd., Topps Trading Cards, The Dallas Mavericks and The Dallas Stars. From 2002 until 2015 he managed the Dallas Comic Con, Sci-Fi Expo and Fan Days events in the DFW area. He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.

I am looking froward to this movie too. I alos believe it will be a financial sucess even if its not a critical sucess; critcial sucess being measured by feedback from the general viewing audence and not from the majority of proffesional screen critics who seem to always hate anything thats action packed and enjoyable.
Now for the bad. I hope to be wrong about this but I fear that this movie is going to bring about the death of at least 1 of not more teens. EVen though its fantasy, some kids or kids are going to get inspired enouigh by this to try and do something on tehir own. Almost every movie with that target audience has those who emulate its charcters. When that happens we are going to see a backalsh in the media. The older (basically parents) generation who could have kids in their teen and pre-teen years are going to site the movei as the cause of the death of these kids. Doesn’t matter that each person, include teens are responsable for their own actions. When crime involves children especially the death of any, the demand for a solution over rides any common sense or logic. Many of our lasw these days came about from a parents need to do something about th trajic loss of tehir child. Its not important whether what they did was a good idea or whether it really was in the best interest of all only that they did something.
Now for the good: I hope this movie does inspire the average every day citizen to take stance and say NO MORE. It’s not necessary to dress up in a costume and look for trouble but that people are inspired to take control and not give in to the crime or the criminal or the corruption in our government.
