New trailer for OUR IDIOT BROTHER starring Paul Rudd

.

.

Paul Rudd is quickly becoming a comic force to be reckoned with, which is nice, since the guy has been working his but off for a while now and is finally becoming a bankable name. Rudd headline the new comedy OUR IDIOT BROTHER, co-starring with Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel and Emily Mortimer. The film is written and directed by Jesse Peretz.  I’m sure you can guess where everything is headed, as this looks like familiar territory, but it’s still cool to see Rudd getting a lead performance like this.  Take a look at the new trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Ned Rochlin is a kindhearted and clueless man who gets himself thrown in jail for “sympathetically” offering some weed to a uniformed police officer. When he is released, his girlfriend kicks him out and forces him to live off the generosity of his three sisters and mother, whose stressful, ambitious lives are far from compatible with Ned’s laid-back and sunny approach. The harder Ned tries to spread joy and love, the more trouble he causes.

OUR IDIOT BROTHER opens August 26, 2011
