X-MEN FIRST CLASS full theatrical trailer hits – looks pretty good! And a new poster?

Today 20th Century Fox has released a new X-MEN FIRST CLASS theatrical trailer, and it looks pretty solid. The marketing campaign surrounding this film has been a tad hit or miss, but the first trailer and this trailer are fairly effective, and hopefully indicative of the final product. I’ve said the entire time I have tremendous faith in Matthew Vaughn as a director, but X-MEN movies are hard movies to make by default, having to juggle a team of superheroes, and adding in the problem that this one is a period piece set in the 1960’s, let’s just hope Vaughn can handle the challenge. Also, the folks over at Comicbookmovie posted what they believe to be a new poster design, which you can see above… though I have a sneaking suspicion that may be a fan-made poster. The film stars Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, January Jones as Emma Frost, Jason Flemyng as Azazel, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Lucas Till as Havoc, Zoe Kravitz as Angel Salvadore, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, Oliver Platt as “Man in black”, and Ray Wise as Secretary of State of the United States. Check out the trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

UPDATE: Yahoo, who posted the new trailer, also posted that poster image… so it must be legit.

X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
