First look at SHARK NIGHT 3D from SNAKES ON A PLANE director David R. Ellis

We are pleased to present the first image for Relativity Media’s SHARK NIGHT 3D, which is directed by David R. Ellis (SNAKES ON A PLANE). This terrifying thrill ride features a red-hot young cast including Sara Paxton (Superhero Movie, Last House on the Left), Dustin Milligan (“90210”, Slither), Chris Carmack (“The O.C.”), Joel David Moore (Avatar) and Katharine McPhee (The House Bunny).

With the undying popularity of 3D technology in movies, and the fan (and surprising critical) praise of PIRANHA 3D, this new entry into the horror genre (from the man behind SNAKES ON A PLANE) may just be a welcome one. David R. Ellis is a director who seems to get the kitsch value in goofy horror movies, which is one of the reasons I’m happy to see him attached to this. The other is I enjoyed SNAKES ON A PLANE… granted, it’s not an incredibly memorable horror flick, but it is fun to watch, and one of those movies you can get together with friends and enjoy for what it is. I’m also a big fan of shark movies, and the idea of someone like Ellis taking his sensibilities into that realm is of great interest to me.

The plot description is as follows: A weekend at a lake house in the Louisiana Gulf turns into a nightmare for seven vacationers as they are subjected to fresh-water shark attacks.
