Director Zack Snyder’s SUCKER PUNCH opens today in the U.S., which is like a live action dream come true for every video game and comic book nerd out there… and I can say that, because I fall into that category.  I do think it’s safe to say that the wild visuals shown in the theatrical trailer set a pretty ambitious expectation on the audience, and the end result is likely going to be very polarizing.  Last year at San Diego Comic-Con, one of the many press junkets I got to participate in was an international conference for SUCKER PUNCH, which featured Zack Snyder and producer/wife Deborah Snyder, plus cast members Carla Gugino, Jamie Chung, Emily Browning, Jena Malone, and Vanessa Hudgens.  Not because of how long ago this was, some of the answers were a little more purposely cryptic, since little was known about the film at the time – you’ll notice the posters sitting behind them, which were the only posters in circulation at the time, simply featured the logo and nothing more.  But all that said it’s still interesting hearing some of the responses the panel gives, and always funny when one of the attending talent gets an slightly embarassing phone call in the middle of the session.  In the 24-minute video below you’ll hear (sometimes faintly) several questions from the press, ending with me getting the final few questions.  Check it out, and let us know your thoughts on SUCKER PUNCH in the comments.
