Got something interesting in my Inbox just now. Relativity, a studio that seems to have a lot of cool films lately, shot me over four VERY high-resolution stills (I shrunk them to the full size they’re at now, click each one to enlarge) from the upcoming film IMMORTALS, directed by Tarsem Singh.  This think looks pretty impressive, especially the interesting ensemble cast choices.  Comic book fans should note that the recently announced SUPERMAN, Henry Cavill, plays a central role in this flick.  Might be a good test to see if he’s got the chops to carry an epic production.  Tarsem does some interesting films, so considering the subject matter, this should be no exception.  Check out the studio notes and stills below, and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Directed by Tarsem Singh (The Cell) and written by Charles Parlapanides and Vlas Parlapanides, Immortals stars Henry Cavill (“The Tudors”), Stephen Dorff (Public Enemies), Isabel Lucas (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire), Luke Evans (Robin Hood), Kellan Lutz (Twilight series), with John Hurt (Hellboy), and Mickey Rourke (Iron Man 2).

In Immortals, the ruthless King Hyperion (Rourke) leads his bloodthirsty army on a murderous rampage across Greece to find a deadly weapon that will destroy humanity. A mortal chosen by Zeus named Theseus (Cavill) must lead the fight against Hyperion and his evil army with the fate of mankind and the Gods at stake.

Immortals is produced by Mark Canton (300), Gianni Nunnari (Shutter Island) and Ryan Kavanaugh (Dear John), and Executive Produced by Tucker Tooley (Dear John), Tommy Turtle (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), and Jeff G. Waxman (Law Abiding Citizen).
