Today we get the first teaser theatrical poster image from CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, featuring Chris Evans as Cap. The Joe Johnston film is looking better and better the more we hear about it, and this snazzy new poster is keeping that quality feeling up. I like how despite the iconic look and feel of the imagery here, there’s very little about it that scream superhero. This is a World War II picture, that just happens to have a costumed hero in it, at least that’s the vibe Johnston seems to be pushing when discussing the movie. From 2002 until 2015 he managed the Dallas Comic Con, Sci-Fi Expo and Fan Days events in the DFW area. He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.
