Ewan McGregor and Eva Green in PERFECT SENSE trailer and poster – science overcomes love?

Don’t let the image fool you, this is not some sappy love story. I’m always interested in seeing Ewan McGregor on the big screen, but I’m quite pleased to see Eva Green (CASINO ROYALE) sharing the spotlight with him in the trailer for PERFECT SENSE.   Directed by David Mackenzie (SPREAD, YOUNG ADAM) and penned by Danish writer Kim Fupz Aakeson, the film is said to be “A life affirming look at what it means to love and be loved in these turbulent times.” – but there’s a lot more going on here that what’s written in that description, obviously. PERFECT SENSE premieres at the Sundance Film Festival.  It also co-stars the lovely Connie Nielsen, the great Ewen Bremner (TRAINSPOTTING), Stephen Dillane, and Denis Lawson (who played “Wedge” in the original STAR WARS trilogy, and is McGregor’s uncle in real life).

The story follows an epidemiologist (Green) who falls in love with a local chef (McGregor) just as she begins to discover that people around the world are beginning to literally lose their senses. Think about that for a second… losing your senses. Now THAT is a creepy idea.

The trailer below premiered on MTV.  It’s more than a little cryptic, but sometimes going into a movie without specific expectations can be a good thing.  Looks like a rather emotional look at an unlikely relationship getting destroyed by a scientific phenomenon.  Could be a really cool cinematic experience.  Ahem… Hollywood, please give us more Eva Green.  Thank you.  Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think.
