Bigfanboy.com started in late 2004, and over the years has developed a loyal readership and fan base. This December marks the 6th Anniversary of the site, and we’re going to celebrate in style. On December 15th, you are cordially invited to join us at the Angelika Dallas Theater in the cocktail lounge for a special holiday party.
All attendees will have access to awesome one-sheet movie posters from hot current films and upcoming releases – we just got in some awesome posters from director Darren Aronofsky’s BLACK SWAN and Michel Gondry’s upcoming film THE GREEN HORNET, and there’s plenty for everyone! We’ll also be giving out tickets for door prizes, including signed items, DVDs, shirts and caps, and more. During the evening we’ll be making some exciting announcements, and saying thanks to those who helped make these past six years so very great. This is going to be a fun and relaxed evening for everyone, and to make it extra special, there’s gonna be free cake! Please join us at the Angelika Theatre in Dallas at 7:00 pm Central Time – Wednesday, Dec 15th. Hope to see you there!

Born and raised in Dallas, Mark has been a movie critic since 1994, with reviews featured in print, radio and National TV. In 2001 he started the Entertainment section of the Herorealm website, where he contributed film reviews and celebrity interviews until 2004. After three years of service there, he started Bigfanboy.com, which has become one of the Dallas film community's leading information websites. Bigfanboy hosts several movie screenings in the Texas area, and works closely with film and TV studios and promotional partners to host exciting events and contests. The site also features a variety of rare celebrity and filmmaker interviews, and Bigfanboy.com regularly covers the film festival circuit as well. In addition to Hollywood reporting, Mark has worked for many years as an advertising and sci-fi/comic book artist. Clients have included Lucasfilm Ltd., Topps Trading Cards, The Dallas Mavericks and The Dallas Stars. From 2002 until 2015 he managed the Dallas Comic Con, Sci-Fi Expo and Fan Days events in the DFW area. He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff. 
Six years is something to celebrate ! How long will the Angelika let us party before kicking us out ? Will any “filkers” be attending ? ;>)
If this wasn’t the same night as the Tron Legacy IMAX screening I would totally be there. Just curious, are you giving away anything Tron related?
Robert R – We can stay until at least 10, but probably later. no idea on filkers, though anything is possible!
M@ – That TRON screening is not open to press, so we’ve got the night off as a result, and so do all the other local press members. We will have some TRON: LEGACY mini-posters to hand out.
