Now THIS is a cool poster.  Chris Hemsworth is looking good as the God of Thunder in this teaser one-sheet for Marvel’s THOR movie adaptation.  The film is directed by Kenneth Branagh, and co-stars Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Stellan Skarsgard, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Josh Dallas, Tadanobu Asano, Idris Elba, Clark Gregg, and Colm Feore.  I got a chance to participate in interviews with Branagh, Hemsworth, Portman, Dennings, and Hiddleston during San Diego Comic-Con, so look for those interview clips to be posted soon.  I’ll admit, I was initially nervous at the idea of Thor being brought to the big screen, but so far everything I’ve seen looks pretty solid, or at the very least interesting.  I just hope the trailer and poster are indicative of the finished film.

Studio Synopsis: Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, “Thor,” which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

In case you still haven’t seen it, we’ve still got the lengthy-but-awesome San Diego Comic-Con trailer for THOR, which should give you an idea of what to expect next summer. Check it out below, and please spread the word that folks can see it here. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
