Got some new posters to show ya from The Coen Bros’ upcoming western remake of TRUE GRIT, starring Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, and newcomer Hailee Steinfeld. Check out the nice character banners that debuted on IMDB, and the new one-sheet above, which is a lot like the old one-sheet, just more writing on it. As excited as I am to see Jeff Bridges in TRON: LEGACY, I’m perhaps more excited to see him re-team with the Coens for this (sure to be) masterpiece. Share your thoughts in the comments if ya like.
TRUE GRIT opens December 22, 2010

That’s awesome. I can’t wait for this one!!!
Well, it will be interesting to say the least. I know it’s based on the book which leaves a wide range in acting on the characters but when John Wayne is the model of behavior it will be a stretch to move away from his personality. All and all the 3 main actors either leave the model of the 1st movie and invent their own identity or they completely F up and try and remake the original. I’ve seen too many karate kids and gone in 60 seconds to go out and pay money for a modern update that doesn’t include a completely different story line yet has the same characters. Good luck on this for the end scene is just a repeat of the original and anyone who sees that will know how the movie ends. What a shame.
