Ever see THE MECHANIC starring Charles Bronson?  The Michael Winner film co-starred Jan-Michael Vincent and Keenan Wynn, and followed a seasoned hit man looking for a way out, who finds himself training a young and eager to learn apprentice.  CBS Films is prepping their remake starring Jason Statham and the always great Ben Foster, along with Donald Sutherland and Tony Goldwyn (who has proven himself a great director when he’s not acting – see CONVICTION for proof).  The poster above, which I personally think is awesome, debuted a few days ago, but today we have the trailer to go with it.  Check it out below.  Looks pretty cool, kind of old school in feel, which is nice.  I like Statham as an action hero, and I really enjoy Ben Foster in just about everything.  Could be a sleeper hit this January.

THE MECHANIC opens January 28, 2011
