Trailer for DJ Caruso’s I AM NUMBER FOUR, and new trailer for SKYLINE

Two new trailers for some rather cool looking movies.  First up, DJ Caruso (DISTURBIA, EAGLE EYE) directs I AM NUMBER FOUR.  This film went through a few changes before ending where its at.  Sharlto Copley (DISTRICT 9) was attached at one point to star, but was later replaced with Timothy Olyphant, and at originally it looked like Michael Bay was going to direct.  Alex Pettyfer stars in the leading role, along with co-stars Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, and Kevin Durand, in this actioneer based on a novel.  Yahoo has the trailer, and the following synopsis:

An extraordinary young man, John Smith, is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri, John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events — his first love, powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny.

Looks pretty cool, though a little chaotic… I got a bit of a JUMPER vibe, but surely it’s better than that.

I AM NUMBER FOUR opens February 18, 2011

Up next, a new trailer for the alien invasion flick SKYLINE.  We previously posted a trailer back in August for this one, and it looks mighty cool.  Greg and Colin Strause financed this film themselves, using the effects company Hydraulx.  The first bits of footage premiered at San Diego Comic-Con, and had people talking.  Now it looks like the promotion machine is in full gear.  The film stars Donald Faison (of SCRUBS fame), Eric Balfour, David Zayas, Scottie Thompson, and Brittany Daniel.  Check out the new sneak peek below.  Here’s a description:

In the sci-fi thriller Skyline, strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth.

SKYLINE opens November 12, 2010
