One of the many exciting moments in the spectacular Marvel panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was the surprise of seeing a slick-looking teaser trailer for THE AVENGERS.  Considering that film is still quite a way off, it’s pretty impressive and telling that there’s already a teaser produced for it, complete with Samuel L. Jackson voiceover.  THE AVENGERS (not to be confused with the 1998 disastrous adaptation of the classic TV series by the same name) won’t hit theaters until May 4, 2012, and stars Jackson as Nick Fury, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Incredible Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Natalia Romanoff/Black Widow, Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, and Don Cheadle at James ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes/War Machine.  It’s directed by nerd God, Joss Whedon.  Does this teaser make you excited?  Let us know.
