Blumhouse and director David Gordon Green had solid success with reviving the HALLOWEEN franchise, bringing back the original film’s star Jamie Lee Curtis and bringing closure to the initial story of Michael Myers. Now they’re reviving another horror classic franchise that already spawned a few sequels, though it’s safe to say those were questionable at best. THE EXORCIST: BELIEVER apparently exists within the same universe as the original film, as it also brings back Regan’s mother, played by the great Ellen Burstyn. The cast also includes HAMILTON‘s Leslie Odom Jr., Lidya Jewett, Olivia Marcum, Ann Dowd, Jennifer Nettles, Okwui Okpokwasili, and Raphael Sbarge. From 2002 until 2015 he managed the Dallas Comic Con, Sci-Fi Expo and Fan Days events in the DFW area. He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.
