A CHRISTMAS STORY CHRISTMAS trailer – Ralphie is back, along with all of his old pals

If you somehow have never seen A CHRISTMAS STORY, I’d actually be shocked. It’s not just a classic Christmas movie, but almost feels like a rite of passage for many. Released in 1983, the period piece explored the idea of a young boy named Ralphie desperately hoping for a Red Rider BB Gun for Christmas, and everything leading up to Christmas Day, utilizing narration of an adult Ralphie to help guide the audience. It’s pretty endearing, and funny, and to this day holds up quite well. Now, almost 40 years later, we’re finally getting a proper sequel in A CHRISTMAS STORY CHRISTMAS, which brings back leading man Peter Billingsley as Ralphie, and quite a few grown up familiar faces. Some don’t realize Billingsley has spent many years working behing the camera as a producer, working closely with folks like Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau. The sequel also stars Scott Schwartz as Flick, RD Robb as Schwartz, Ian Petrella as Randy, Zack Ward as Scott Farkus, and Julie Hagerty as Ralphie’s mother (Melinda Dillon, who starred in the original, retired from acting years ago). Erinn Hayes plays Ralphie’s wife, Julianna Layne as his daughter Julie, and River Drosche as his son Mark. Check out the new trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments
