Marvel Studios’ THE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY HOLIDAY SPECIAL trailer gifts us Kevin Bacon

Writer/director James Gunn still has one more GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY film to unleash on theaters with Vol. 3, but before that hits, we’ll see Star-Lord and his pals in a Marvel Studios Special Presentation, THE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY HOLIDAY SPECIAL, a sort of loving nod to the controversial and hard-to-watch STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL George Lucas has tried futilely to destroy all copies of. We just saw the first Marvel Studios Special Presentation in director Michael Giacchino’s WEREWOLF BY NIGHT, so stands to reason we might want to expect even more of these throwback “made for TV” types of specials. The events in the GUARDIANS special take place after AVENGERS ENDGAME, with Star-Lord lamenting Gamora not remembering him, and therefore leaving him behind, so his fellow Guardians are looking for a way to cheer him up. And what better way than to attempt kidnapping the one and only Kevin Bacon? Lok for Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn all appear here, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some more awesome surprises in the form of familiar faces. Check out the trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.
