Perhaps one of the most-talked about reveals from San Diego Comic-Con 2022 was Marvel Studios unveiling the very first trailer for director Ryan Coogler’s BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER, the highly-anticipated sequel to 2018’s BLACK PANTHER. When the first film’s star, Chadwick Boseman, passed away unexpectedly from cancer, it left fans and his fellow actors in Hollywood stunned and devastated. Many wondered how they could possibly make a sequel without him, and it looks like the new film will answer that, and also acknowledge the loss by having T’Challa pass away in the story. The big question now is who will become the new Black Panther in the new film. In the comics, T’Challa’s sister Shuri takes on the mantle for a brief time, so it’s possible the new movie will mirror that. We’ll see returning cast members Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, Lupita Nyong’o and Martin Freeman. We also see the introduction of Namor the Sub-Mariner (Tenoch Huerta), Marvel Comics’ very first superhero realized on the big screen for the first time, and Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) who becomes Ironheart (a younger female answer to Iron Man). Check out the new trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments. Tickets are now on sale!

In Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.
