New ANDOR trailer – Diego Luna’s STAR WARS Rogue One character gets a prequel series on Disney+

Not long after ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY was released in theaters, there was talk of a spin-off prequel series that would focus on Diego Luna’s character, Cassian Andor. And now we have our first official look at what to expect from the Disney+ series. This is year another Lucasfilm live action series following the highly-successful THE MANDALORIAN, THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT, and hitting this weekend OBI-WAN KENOBI. In addition to Luna, the cast features Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Robert Emms, Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgard, Fiona Shaw, and Kyle Soller. Many thought ROGUE ONE was one of the very best offerings of the Disney Star Wars era, so it should be interesting to see if this series can match that quality without many of the other central characters of the movie. Worthy of note, the show is written and executive produced by Tony Gilroy, who was brought on to handle reshoots on ROGUE ONE. Wiritng duties on the show will be handled by Dan Gilroy (NIGHTCRAWLER), Beau Willimon (HOUSE OF CARDS), and Stephen Schiff (THE AMERICANS). Check out the new trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

ANDOR hits Disney+ on September 21, 2022
