If you’ve been anxiously anticipating another JURASSIC WORLD movie, next year you’ll get it in JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION, directed by Colin Trevorrow who helmed the first JURASSIC WORLD movie. Today we’re treated to a five-minute prologue which definitely captures the spirit of the classic JURASSIC PARK movies, and throws us into the middle of a scenario that would make Steven Spielberg proud. It actually starts 65 million years ago showing us the dinosaurs in their original habitat, then cuts to the present, at a drive-in movie theater showing AMERICAN GRAFFITI… which is interrupted by a very familiar creature. Rumor has it this sequence isn’t actually in the finished movie JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION, but is rather a stand-alone prologue to get folks excited for the next film – this was also originally shown to IMAX audiences before F9 earlier this year. And that wouldn’t be the first time Universal Pictures did this sort of thing, as two years ago we got an official short film called JURASSIC WORLD: BATTLE AT BIG ROCK, which was also directed by Trevorrow. Expect JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION in theaters next June, starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Daniella Pineda, DeWanda Wise, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Dichen Lachman, BD Wong, Justice Smith, Omar Sy, Kristoffer Polaha, Scott Haze and Campbell Scott. Check out the prologue below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
