ARMY OF THIEVES new trailer – prepare for a prequel to Zack Snyder’s ARMY OF THE DEAD

Did you enjoy Zack Snyder’s return to the zombie genre with ARMY OF THE DEAD? The May release met with mixed reactions, but one of the standout characters was Dieter, played quite well by Matthias Schweighöfer. Now Matthias is back in a leading role, and taking over as director for a ARMY OF THE DEAD prequel titled ARMY OF THIEVES, which is being called a romantic heist comedy. Zack Snyder returns as producer, and co-wrote the story screenplay with screenplay writer Shay Hatten. The cast also includes Nathalie Emmanuel, Ruby O. Fee, Stuart Martin, Guz Khan, and Jonathan Cohen. While I can’t say I loved ARMY OF THE DEAD, I can easily say Dieter was a really fun character in that film. Check out the new trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

In this prequel to Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead, small-town bank teller Dieter gets drawn into the adventure of a lifetime when a mysterious woman recruits him to join a crew of Interpol’s most wanted criminals, attempting to heist a sequence of legendary, impossible-to-crack safes across Europe.

ARMY OF THIEVES hits Netflix on October 29, 2021
