If you’ve been missing some of the classic AVENGERS stars after AVENGERS: ENDGAME and BLACK WIDOW, not to worry, as one of the main figures is about to hit Disney+. HAWKEYE follows the adventures of Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) who is trying to carry on with his life and family, until a new archer character shows up named Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld. If you follow the comics, you’ll know that Bishop become a new Hawkeye, and ultimately joins the “Young Avengers” with other younger versions of the popular superhero counterparts. The series stars Renner and Steinfeld, in addition to Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James, and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. Former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit.
Born and raised in Dallas, Mark has been a movie critic since 1994, with reviews featured in print, radio and National TV. From 2002 until 2015 he managed the Dallas Comic Con, Sci-Fi Expo and Fan Days events in the DFW area. He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.
