SPIRAL: FROM THE BOOK OF SAW new trailer – Chris Rock & Samuel L. Jackson dabble in horror

If you’re a fan of the SAW movies, get ready to be happy. The franchise is continuing in a whole new way, thanks largely in part to Chris Rock… yes, that Chris Rock. SPIRAL: FROM THE BOOK OF SAW stars Chris Rock, Max Minghella, Marisol Nichols, and Samuel L. Jackson, and is produced by the original SAW team of Mark Burg and Oren Koules. Originally intended for a May 2020 release, it was delayed due to Covid-19 and is now being released in May of this year. The new film is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and written by Josh Stolberg & Pete Goldfinger. The story here is actually taken from an idea that Chris Rock came up with, and the producers immediately fell in love with it. Take a look at the newest trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

A criminal mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in Spiral, the terrifying new chapter from the book of Saw. Working in the shadow of his father, an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game.
