Kristen Stewart might play the Angelina Jolie role in WANTED 2

It’s looking pretty bankable that WANTED 2 is on the way, though Angelina Jolie is said to not return.  At one point there were rumors she would come back for the sequel (which if you saw the first movie would seem very unlikely anyway), but the most recent reports say it ain’t happening.  So who could the studio replace her with?  Who in the female acting community is at the same level of popularity as Jolie?  Try THE TWILIGHT SAGA‘s Kristen Stewart.  I know, I know, a lot of you out there hate her, mainly because of her involvement in the TWILIGHT movies, or perhaps because of her wonderfully awkward demeanor in interviews.  But I’ll say this, she was pretty incredible playing Joan Jett in THE RUNAWAYS, and I do think there’s a strong and competent actress in there.  MTV talked in a recent interview to Stewart specifically about the idea of her starring in the sequel, and though she didn’t outright confirm it, the actress did say in response to whether or not it would appeal to her “yes, definitely, as long as it was good.”  She goes on the compliment James McAvoy, and how he really brought something to the first film to make it interesting.  Stewart notes if it’s like the first film, in terms of quality, she’d be all for it.  Though she ends by saying “But I wouldn’t just want to be in a mindless blow-up movie. I’m not into it.”  We should note, she also doens’t deny the rumors being true.

You can see the full clip below.  So what do you think?  Would Stewart be a worthy successor to Jolie in WANTED 2?  Tell us in the comments below.  I’ll say this, after watching the MTV interview clips, this is the most relaxed I think I’ve ever seen Kristen during an interview.  She’s learning to loosen up.  Thank God.
