YES DAY trailer – Jennifer Garner and Edgar Ramirez can’t say no to their kids for Netflix

The new family film YES DAY heading to Netflix is actually based on a book which champions the idea of saying yes to anything your kids want to do… yep, this is 2021, folks.  I mean, I get it, the idea of being bold and having fun by encouraging creative freedom for them, but sometimes in life it’s important to learn you can’t always get what you want, right?  And yeah, I know, it’s just a movie, but part of me wonders if the message is really a smart one.  Jennifer Garner and Edgar Ramirez seem like odd casting as the parents here, and their kids are played by Jenna Ortega, Julian Lerner, and Everly Carganilla.  Netflix is even encouraging the #YESDAYChallenge on social media, which I’m sure parents really appreciate.  Sorry, I know I sound jaded on this, but then again maybe the film ends with them learning why it’s important to sometimes say no… I guess we’ll see.  YES DAY is directed by Miguel Arteta, written by Justin Malen, and the supporting cast includes Nat Faxon, H.E.R., Molly Sims, Fortune Feimster, and Arturo Castro.  Check out the trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Always feeling like they have to say NO to their kids and co-workers, Allison and Carlos decide to give their three kids a YES DAY — where for 24 hours the kids make the rules. Little did they know that they’d be going on a whirlwind adventure around Los Angeles, that would bring the family closer to each other than ever before.

YES DAY premieres through Netflix on March 12, 2021
