UNHINGED new trailer & release date – Russell Crowe plays a man with some serious road rage

Back on May 12th, when I posted the first trailer for UNHINGED, I had never heard of Solstice Studios and Ingenious Media, but they intended to have the first major release once theaters reopened (which was supposed to happen in July) – and it this is their first offering, I’m interested to see what more they can deliver. The film stars Russell Crowe as a man on the edge, pushed past it thanks to a traffic altercation with a mother (MORTAL ENGINES star Caren Pistorius) on her way to work. This comes from director Derrick Borte (AMERICAN DREAMER) and co-stars Gabriel Bateman, Jimmi Simpson and Austin P. McKenzie. I’m actually interested to see how brutal this gets, especially since Crowe can be incredibly scary when he wants to. That one shot with the cop car is really unsettling. Check out the newest trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments, and you can NOW look for UNHINGED in theaters on August 21st.

Academy Award winner Russell Crowe stars in Unhinged, a timely psychological thriller that explores the fragile balance of a society pushed to the edge, taking something we’ve all experienced – road rage – to an unpredictable and terrifying conclusion. Rachel (Caren Pistorius) is running late to work when she has an altercation at a traffic light with a stranger (Crowe) whose life has left him feeling powerless and invisible. Soon, Rachel finds herself and everyone she loves the target of a man who decides to make one last mark upon the world by teaching her a series of deadly lessons. What follows is a dangerous game of cat and mouse that proves you never know just how close you are to someone who is about to become unhinged.

UNHINGED opens August 21, 2020
