PROJECT POWER trailer/poster – Jamie Foxx & Joseph Gordon-Levitt get superpowered for Netflix

Netflix sure seems to be making the most of the Coronavirus movie theater shut down, blasting out new movie trailers almost every other day. Their latest looks rather interesting, titled PROJECT POWER. The story involves a mysterious pill that enables the user to tap into hidden superpowers specific to them. A sort of dark take on the superhero genre, and the cast is pretty impressive. It stars Jamie Foxx, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Rodrigo Santoro, Machine Gun Kelly, Amy Landecker, Courtney B. Vance, Tait Fletcher, and Dominique Fishback. It’s directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman (CATFISH, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3), and is written by Mattson Tomlin. Worthy of note, this movie was actually done in 2018, but is just now being released, so there might be a reason for that. Even if it’s not that great, the trailer does look pretty cool, so check it out below and see what you think.

On the streets of New Orleans, word begins to spread about a mysterious new pill that unlocks superpowers unique to each user. The catch: You don’t know what will happen until you take it. While some develop bulletproof skin, invisibility, and super strength, others exhibit a deadlier reaction. But when the pill escalates crime within the city to dangerous levels, a local cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) teams with a teenage dealer (Dominique Fishback) and a former soldier fueled by a secret vendetta (Jamie Foxx) to fight power with power and risk taking the pill in order to track down and stop the group responsible for creating it.
