I like Luke Wilson.  The guy has a certain quality about him that is likable and identifiable, yet for some reason he’s never seen the level of success his brother Owen has experienced.  Why is that?  Granted, movies like MY SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND didn’t help, but the guy has shown range in films like VACANCY and his family project THE WENDELL BAKER STORY.  His newest effort titled MIDDLE MEN explores the early days of the internet (1995 specifically) and the advent of internet porn.  It looks to be a gritty tale, filled with hot women and sleazy guys at various levels of power.  George Gallo directs.  Giovanni Ribisi (AVATAR) and Gabriel Macht (THE SPIRIT) co-star, and the film also features James Caan, Kelsey Grammer, Kevin Pollack, Rachael Taylor, and Laura Ramsey.  Check out the trailer below.  This could be a nice step in the right direction for Luke’s career… at least it looks pretty interesting.

MIDDLE MEN opens August 6, 2010.
