GREYHOUND trailer – Tom Hanks writes and stars in this WWII ocean-set Navy thriller

When Tom Hanks starred in the SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, he solidified himself as one of the most iconic big screen World War II Army characters of all time. Now he’s taking on the Navy in the new thriller GREYHOUND, based on the 1955 C. S. Forester novel “The Good Shepherd” and also set during WWII. This film was originally intended to be released a year ago, but has seen multiple date changes, and is now set for a June 2020 release. Hanks is penning the screenplay here as well, and the cast also includes Stephan Graham, Rob Morgan, and Elizabeth Shue. Check out the first trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

The only thing more dangerous than the front lines was the fight to get there. In the early days of WWII, an international convoy of 37 Allied ships, led by captain Ernest Krause (Tom Hanks) in his first command of a U.S. destroyer, crosses the treacherous North Atlantic while hotly pursued by wolf packs of Nazi U-boats.

GREYHOUND opens June 12, 2020
