You might remember hearing about THE HUNT last year, as initial trailers had already hit, and posters were already in movie theaters. But sadly, there were more mass shootings, and the studio decided to (out of respect) pull the film and delay its release. This March, we’ll get to see why. This sort of story has been done before, think BATTLE ROYALE, SURVIVNG THE GAME, or even going back to the classic thriller THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME… some might even make comparisons to THE HUNGER GAMES. But THE HUNT is definitely more political, by design too, which also created some controversy during its initial promotion. The new poster and ad campaign for the film even takes advantage of the more controversial press quotes the film received before it was pulled. This is directed by Craig Zobel (COMPLIANCE, Z FOR ZACHARIAH), and the cast features Hilary Swank, Betty Gilpin, Ethan Suplee, J.C. MacKenzie, Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley, Ike Barinholtz, Glenn Howerton, Amy Madigan, and Macon Blair. Take a look at the new International trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

The most talked about movie of the year is the one nobody has seen … yet.

Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don’t know where they are, or how they got there. They don’t know they’ve been chosen… for a very specific purpose … The Hunt.

In the shadow of a dark internet conspiracy theory, a group of elites gathers for the very first time at a remote Manor House to hunt ordinary Americans for sport. But the elites’ master plan is about to be derailed because one of The Hunted, Crystal (Betty Gilpin, GLOW), knows The Hunters’ game better than they do. She turns the tables on the killers, picking them off, one by one, as she makes her way toward the mysterious woman (two-time Oscar® winner Hilary Swank) at the center of it all.

THE HUNT opens March 13, 2020
