THE GREEN KNIGHT trailer & poster – David Lowery’s new take on a timeless Arthurian legend

I’ve been saying David Lowery is a director you want to keep your eye on, and the trailer for A24’s THE GREEN KNIGHT may just show you why. Lowery previously gave us everything from the updated PETE’S DRAGON and A GHOST STORY, to THE OLD MAN AND THE GUN. His newest delivers a visually stunning new take on a timeless Arthurian legend, King Arthur’s nephew Sir Gawain, played by Dev Patel. The supporting cast includes Joel Edgerton, Barry Keoghan, Sarita Choudhury, Kate Dickie, Ralph Ineson, Alicia Vikander, and Sean Harris. Check out the first impressive trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

An epic fantasy adventure based on the timeless Arthurian legend, THE GREEN KNIGHT tells the story of Sir Gawain (Dev Patel), King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men. Gawain contends with ghosts, giants, thieves, and schemers in what becomes a deeper journey to define his character and prove his worth in the eyes of his family and kingdom by facing the ultimate challenger. From visionary filmmaker David Lowery comes a fresh and bold spin on a classic tale from the knights of the round table.

THE GREEN KNIGHT opens May 29, 2020
