Watch Disney’s Episode IX D23 trailer for STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER – is Rey… a Sith?

It’s hard to believe the only trailer we’ve seen for STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER aka Episode IX, especially since the movie comes out in just a few months. Typically, STAR WARS hype is through the roof, but some fans have felt disenchanted in the past few years either because they didn’t care for THE LAST JEDI (there’s YouTube channels dedicated to trashing it, continuously), or SOLO wasn’t of interest to them, but it’s hard to believe folks aren’t clamoring for more STAR WARS content. Then last week, thanks to Disney’s D23 event, we got the trailer for THE MANDALORIAN (which looks excellent) and news the Ewan McGregor is officially returning for an Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Today we get to see what fans saw from THE RISE OF SKYWALKER, a neat little trailer that pays homage to the previous STAR WARS films and shows just enough new footage to make our jaws drop, including a pretty big reveal at the end that will have many asking some big questions. Check it out for yourself below and tell us your thoughts in the comments. The cast includes Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, Anthony Daniels, Keri Russell, Billie Lourd, Naomi Ackie, Matt Smith, Dominic Monaghan, and Richard E. Grant. Are you ready?

Lucasfilm and director J.J. Abrams join forces once again to take viewers on an epic journey to a galaxy far, far away with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the riveting conclusion of the seminal Skywalker saga, where new legends will be born and the final battle for freedom is yet to come.

STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER releases in theaters on December 20, 2019. See you there.
