Eugenio Derbez video interview – the beloved actor on his DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD role

Eugenio Derbez is quickly becoming a fan-favorite name in the United States, after already being a superstar in Latin America. Variety magazine even called him “the most influential Hispanic male in the entertainment industry”, and he’s not slowing down anytime soon. His latest role is in the live action film adaptation of DORA THE EXPLORER, called DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD. It’s hard to talk about his character without giving away some major spoilers, but he does get plenty of chances to do what he does best… be funny and engaging. This is the third time I’ve had the chance to sit down with Eugenio, and he’s always a treat to talk to. One of the things we spoke about in length is a signature scene in the film in which the main characters find themselves in quicksand, and I was very curious how the shot it, which Derbez was happy to elaborate on. Check out the movie this weekend and let us know what you think.

DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD opens August 9, 2019
