LOST gets a 12 to 14 minute epilogue in the box set – Hurley and Ben!

Hey LOST fans!  Did the finale leave you wanting more?  Do you have an emptiness in you?  Want to know what happened to Hurley and Ben on the island?  Well it looks like you may have something new to look forward to.  Recently Michael Emerson did an interview with G4, and revealed a juicy little tidbit that may have many LOST fans excited.  If you watched the finale (spoilers from here on), you may remember that Hurley became the keeper of the island, or the new “Jacob” as it were, and asked Ben to be his #2, to which Ben accepted.  Then at the very end, when everyone was going into the church, Ben chose not to, though Hurley had one last exchange with him in which he said “You were a great #2.”  Well, according to Emerson, it doesn’t necessarily end there.  He told Attack of the Show:

“For those people that want to pony up and buy the complete Lost series, there is a bonus feature, which is…you could call it an epilogue,” explained Emerson. “A lost scene. It’s a lot. It’s 12 or 14 minutes that opens a window onto that gap of unknown time between Hurley becoming number one and the end of the series. It’s self-contained, although it’s a rich period in the show’s mythology that ‘s never been explored, so who knows what will come of it.”

This really excites me.  I normally make it a rule not to buy TV shows on DVD or Blu-ray anymore, only because I feel like I’ll never get around to watching them.  But I was planning on buying LOST, mainly because I actually want to go back and watch these episodes again, and see if there’s little things I missed.  Plus watching the finale made me realize how much I had forgotten, and I genuinely wanted to revisit these characters, and rediscover what made me fall in love with the show in the first place.

Now with this epilogue as an added incentive, I simply MUST but the box set.  Are you as excited about this as I am?  Tell us in the comments below.
