In 2012, WRECK-IT RALPH became an instant audience favorite for Disney, also delivering one of the best video game movies ever made… even my mom loved it, and she hates video games. A sequel seemed inevitable, and now six years later we’re finally getting one. This time Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope von Schweetz (Sara Silverman) must travel into the internet to find a replacement part that will save Vanellope’s arcade game Sugar Rush. The supporting voice cast is crazy, filled with a who’s who or Disney royalty and Sci-Fi greats. Taraji P. Henson plays one of the central characters in the story named Yesss, Jane Lynch is back as Calhoun, Jack McBrayer is back as Fix-It Felix, and Alan Tudyk is back too (maybe as King Candy or a new character). They’re joined by Kelly Macdonald as Merida from BRAVE, Kristen Bell as Anna and Idina Menzel as Elsa from FROZEN, Mandy Moore as Rapunzel from TANGLED, Auli’i Cravalho as Moana from MOANA, Ming-Na Wen as Mulan from MULAN, Anika Noni Rose as Tiana from THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG, Jodi Benson as Ariel from THE LITTLE MERMAID, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO from STAR WARS, Irene Bedard as Pocahontas from POCAHONTAS, Jennifer Hale as Cinderella from CINDERELLA, Paige O’Hara as Belle from BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Linda Larkin as Jasmine from ALADDIN, Kate Higgins as Princess Aurora from SOFIA THE FIRST, and Katherine Von Till as Snow White from SNOW WHITE. Wow! Now granted, many of those may be literally cameo appearances, but still, for Disney to get all those Princesses back together is a huge deal, and something tells me that’s just the tip of the iceberg for cameo voices we may hear in this one. Check out the new chuckle-inducing trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.
