LIFE OF THE PARTY new trailer – Melissa McCarthy goes back to college… parties and all

Melissa McCarthy is re-teaming with her husband, writer/director Ben Falcone, for the new comedy LIFE OF THE PARTY, their third collaboration with him behind the camera after TAMMY and THE BOSS. This new comedy involves McCarthy playing a disenchanted housewife who decides to go back to college… and hilarity ensues! This almost feels like a modern day retelling of the Rodney Dangerfield classic BACK TO SCHOOL, only with a female slant. The supporting cast features Molly Gordon, Gillian Jacobs, Maya Rudolph, Julie Bowen, Matt Walsh, Stephen Root, Jacki Weaver, Jessie Ennis, Adria Arjona, Debby Ryan and Jimmy O. Yang. Check out the new trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Longtime dedicated housewife Deanna (Melissa McCarthy) turning regret into re-set by going back to college after her husband suddenly dumps her. Deanna lands in the same class and school as her daughter, Maddie (Molly Gordon), who’s not entirely sold on the idea. Plunging headlong into the campus experience, the increasingly outspoken Deanna–now going by Dee Rock–embraces freedom, fun and frat boys on her own terms, finding her true self in a senior year no one ever expected.

LIFE OF THE PARTY opens May 11, 2018
