It’s funny to think about how quickly Tiffany Haddish has become a star, especially since most people discovered her in last year’s GIRLS TRIP, which itself became a surprise theatrical hit. Now she’s starring alongside Kevin Hart in the new comedy NIGHT SCHOOL, which re-teams her with GIRLS TRIP director Malcolm D. Lee. Hart Tweeted out info on the film, noting that he once gave Haddish $300 (all the money he had on him) a decade ago when he realized she was living out of her car, and also noted how amazing it is that now she’s his co-star in a major movie. The Lord works in mysterious ways. Star Kevin Hart and producer Will Packer, who partnered for the hit Ride Along and Think Like a Man series, bring their signature style to Night School. The comedy from director Malcolm D. Lee (Girls Trip) follows a group of misfits who are forced to attend adult classes in the longshot chance they’ll pass the GED exam.
Born and raised in Dallas, Mark has been a movie critic since 1994, with reviews featured in print, radio and National TV. He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.
