AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR new official trailer – Thanos isn’t taking it easy on Marvel heroes

The last shot before the title here… hoo-boy. So you know, Thanos has always been my favorite Marvel Comics villain. If you’ve never read “The Infinity Gauntlet” storyline, it involved the cosmic titan going up against essentially the entire Marvel universe and pretty much mopping the floor with them. He was ruthless, and just imposing to look at, easily one of the best bad guys to ever come out of the publisher. Now he’s about to take on the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, hitting theaters next month (moved up from May). It’s directed by Joe Russo and Anthony Russo (who gave us CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR), and the impressive (and we’re guessing expensive) cast includes Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Paul Rudd (Scott Lang/Ant-Man), Chadwick Boseman (T’Challa/Black Panther), Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch), Tom Holland (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Chris Pratt (Peter Quill/Star-Lord), Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Stephen Strange), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton/Hawkeye), Josh Brolin (Thanos), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Dave Bautista (Drax), Vin Diesel (Groot), Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon), Benicio Del Toro (The Collector), Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Paul Bettany (Vision), Danai Gurira (Okoye), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Falcon), Don Cheadle (James Rhodes/War Machine) and Benedict Wong (Wong)… whew! Check out the new full trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.
