The new trailer for the upcoming spy thriller RED SPARROW starring Jennifer Lawrence has just been released by 20th Century Fox. Directed by Francis Lawrence and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Joel Edgerton, Matthias Schoenaerts, Charlotte Rampling, Mary-Louise Parker and Jeremy Irons, the film is based on the book by Jason Matthews. In the film Lawrence plays a sexy spy who is a master at seducing men and killing them if need be. The trailer below gives you a taste of what to expect. It’s amazing to think how far Jennifer Lawrence’s career has come in such a short time, and this should be an interesting test for her, playing a deadly assassin type. We’ve seen her kick butt in THE HUNGER GAMES movies (Francis Lawrence directed the last three), but this could be a whole different animal. Take a look at the newest trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

When she suffers a career-ending injury, Dominika and her mother are facing a bleak and uncertain future. That is why she finds herself manipulated into becoming the newest recruit for Sparrow School, a secret intelligence service that trains exceptional young people like her to use their bodies and minds as weapons. After enduring the perverse and sadistic training process, she emerges as the most dangerous Sparrow the program has ever produced. Dominika must now reconcile the person she was with the power she now commands, with her own life and everyone she cares about at risk, including an American CIA agent who tries to convince her he is the only person she can trust.
