The 1974 DEATH WISH solidified Charles Bronson as a movie tough guy for the rest of his career, and spawned some sequels to boot. Now Bruce Willis is stepping into his shoes in a remake helmed by Eli Roth. The first trailer didn’t play well, kind of… odd. The violence was still there, the basic story pretty much the same, but the tone of that trailer almost played like a comedy. Maybe it was the AC/DC music, or that last scene in the psychiatrist office (also in the new trailer), but it definitely gives off a different vibe than the older movies did. It also rubbed a lot of folks the wrong way, as the timing of it seemed really off, what with all the shootings and violence in the news. The new trailer seems a bit better, and they smartly moved the release date back from its original November 22 weekend. Check out the newest look below and tell us your thoughts in the comments. Aside from Bruce Willis, the cast also includes Vincent D’Onofrio, Elisabeth Shue, Camila Morrone, Dean Norris and Kimberly Elise. Willis has been doing a lot of direct-to-video flicks lately, so hopefully this will be a return to form for the aging action star. One thing is for sure, Eli Roth knows violence, so we can expect this to have some pretty rough scenes.

He currently catalogs rare comic books and movie memorabilia for Heritage Auctions, and runs the Dallas Comic Show conventions, but remains an avid moviegoer and cinema buff.
