With the next STAR WARS Trilogy movie to follow THE FORCE AWAKENS just over a month away, World Series Baseball (of all things) has delivered fans a little treat. Disney and Lucasfilm released a new 45-second “Awake” commercial (mini-trailer) from EPISODE VIII also known as STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI, and it’s got several new shots in it to boot, including a few moments that will again have you questioning what exactly is going to happen this time out. Directed by Rian Johnson (LOOPER), this definitely looks darker and more serious than THE FORCE AWAKENS, so it should be interesting to see how fans react.

THE LAST JEDI is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski. STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is scheduled for release December 15, 2017.

So what do you think? Tell us in the comments below. Someone also pointed out that if you put together the titles of Episode VII and VIII, you get THE FORCE AWAKENS THE LAST JEDI… now that is interesting… and what will the third title be? Will it feel connected like this one? Hmmm…
