THE MOUNTAIN BETWEEN US trailer – Idris Elba and Kate Winslet must survive the elements

Based on the Book by Charles Martin, the upcoming movie THE MOUNTAIN BETWEEN US explores the idea of what might happen if two complete strangers found themselves stranded in the snowy mountains without hope of rescue. Directed by Academy Award nominee Hany Abu-Assad, it stars Kate Winslet and Idris Elba, along with Beau Bridges and Dermot Mulroney. The screenplay is written by Chris Weitz and J. Mills Goodloe. This reminds me a lot of David Mamet’s THE EDGE, which happens to be one of my favorite survival movies. Take a look at the trailer and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Stranded after a tragic plane crash, two strangers must forge a connection to survive the extreme elements of a remote snow covered mountain. When they realize help is not coming, they embark on a perilous journey across hundreds of miles of wilderness, pushing one another to endure and discovering strength they never knew possible. The film is directed by Academy Award nominee Hany Abu-Assad and stars Academy Award winner Kate Winslet and Golden Globe winner Idris Elba.

THE MOUNTAIN BETWEEN US opens October 20, 2017
