Some of you that checked out IRON MAN 2 over the weekend may have been treated to the new Steven Spielberg produced and J.J. Abrams directed teaser trailer for SUPER 8.  The top secret project joins the two generations of fan-adored directors together, and promises to be a film you should be on the lookout for.  The film, which is said to take place in the late 1970’s, follows a group of kids who capture something unusual and scary on super 8 cameras.  It’s also to be done very much in the spirit of CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND.  Looks pretty cool to me.  We’re hearing the movie could hit in May of 2011, though principal photography doesn’t even start until this fall (the trailer was shot separate from the film).  Thoughts?  Hit the comments below!
