Warner Bros. has released the final trailer and poster for WONDER WOMAN starring Gal Gadot as the beloved comic book heroine. I’ve been loving the previous trailers and clips we’ve seen, but this one feels a little loud and messy, and (if I’m being completely honest) I really don’t care for the Imagine Dragons rock ballad music in the background… this is set during World War I for crying out loud. Chris Pine plays Steve Trevor, Connie Nielsen stars as Queen Hippolyta (WW’s mom), and the supporting cast includes Robin Wright, Lucy Davis, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Danny Huston, Ewen Bremner, Elena Anaya, Florence Kasumba, and Saïd Taghmaoui. Patty Jenkins (MONSTER) is the director here, and from the look of things has done a great job bringing Diana Price to the big screen – we previously saw Gadot play the role briefly in BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. Allen Heinberg and Geoff Johns wrote the screenplay, based on the story by Heinberg and Zack Snyder. Take a look at the intense last action-packed trailer below and see if you’re not excited.
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
Wonder Woman hits theaters on June 2, 2017
