This Sunday night, February 26, is going to be one of the biggest nights in the world of entertainment. We want you to join Bigfanboy.com at the Angelika Film Center in Mockingbird Station – their Dallas theater. Come grab a FREE seat to watch Hollywood’s biggest night on the BIG screen, the way it’s meant to be seen, in HD no less. We’ll have exciting prize drawings at every commercial break, and free movie-related goodies for all attendees. It’s going to be the coolest way to see some of the past year’s films gets honored and celebrated. Seats are FREE, we begin seating at 6pm Sunday evening. Seating is only available until it runs out, so arriving early isn’t a bad idea. Past events like this have filled up fast. Please note, unlike years past we are NOT giving away free food this time, so please eat before you come. The Angelika will have standard concessions on sale, and drink specials all night.

Like previous parties we’ll have a variety of movie-related t-shirts to giveaway, very random, but most everyone who arrives early will get a shirt – these will go FAST this year, we won’t have as many as normal.

The Angelika is currently showing several Academy Award-nominated films including LA LA LAND, PATERSON, HIDDEN FIGURES, LION and JACKIE. Check these Oscar contenders out between now and Sunday night. Check out our picks to win right here. Please note, admission to any of the above mentioned films follows standard admission pricing. The only FREE seating is Sunday night hanging out with us.

Put on your best attire, or come casual – your choice. We’ll have a few photographers taking snapshots of the evening, which we’ll post online afterward, and who knows what local celebrities might shows up. The bar will be open to purchase alcoholic beverages, and the concession stands will be selling the usual goodies as well. This is going to be a night you won’t want to miss. Join us, and tell your friends to come too!

About the Author

Born and raised in Dallas, Mark has been a movie critic since 1994, with reviews featured in print, radio and National TV.
