One of the big films hitting this Spring is Lionsgate and Saban’s POWER RANGERS, and today we get another new trailer. There’s definitely a sort of BREAKFAST CLUB meets CHRONICLE vibe here, which might prove to be a smart move. While I was never a hardcore fan of the original show, I do understand the appeal. The cast includes Dacre Montgomery (as the Red Ranger), RJ Cyler (as the Blue Ranger), Naomi Scott (as the Pink Ranger), Becky G (as the Yellow Ranger) and Ludi Lin (as the Black Ranger). Bill Hader voices Alpha 5, Bryan Cranston plays Zordon, and Elizabeth Banks is Rita Repulsa. The movie is directed by Dean Israelite and opens March. Check out the new trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.

POWER RANGERS hits theaters on March 24, 2017
