I actually forgot that Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler had already worked together in a movie – remember BLADES OF GLORY? The two SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE stars are back together on the big screen in THE HOUSE, which features them as two proud parents of a girl on her way to college. There’s just one problem, mom and dad don’t have the money for tuition. So of course, the come up with a crazy plot to run a secret casino within their own house. The parodies to Martin Scorsese’s CASINO are so obvious even the trailer actually mentions that film. Written by NEIGHBORS scribes Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien, this is also Cohen’s feature directorial debut. The supporting cast includes Jason Mantzoukas, Allison Tolman (FARGO), Rob Huebel, Lennon Parham (VEEP), Rory Scovel, Nick Kroll, Andrea Savage, Michaela Watkins and Steve Zissis. Check out the trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

After they lose their daughter’s college fund, a couple (Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler) start an illegal casino in their basement to try to earn it back.

THE HOUSE opens June 30, 2017
