Directed by James Ponsoldt, THE CIRCLE is based on the best-selling novel by Dave Eggers, which deals with a hi-tech company who implement observational devices that pretty much put an end to the idea of privacy. What happens when a young woman (played by Emma Watson) joins the ranks of this popular company, and gets immersed in the new technology? Tom Hanks, John Boyega, Patton Oswalt, Karen Gillan, and Ellar Coltrane co-star in a film we expect many will be talking about. Check out the new trailer below and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

When Mae (Emma Watson) is hired to work for the world’s largest and most powerful tech & social media company, she sees it as an opportunity of a lifetime. As she rises through the ranks, she is encouraged by the company’s founder, Eamon Bailey (Tom Hanks), to engage in a groundbreaking experiment that pushes the boundaries of privacy, ethics and ultimately her personal freedom. Her participation in the experiment, and every decision she makes begin to affect the lives and future of her friends, family and that of humanity.

THE CIRCLE opens April 28, 2017
