We’ve seen a teaser trailer and some paparazzi photos from Lionsgate and Saban’s POWER RANGERS movie, but today you can get your first solid look at Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa in the film. There’s been fan theories that Banks’ character here will in actuality reveal that she’s the former Green Ranger who has gone bad. The cast includes Dacre Montgomery (as the Red Ranger), RJ Cyler (as the Blue Ranger), Naomi Scott (as the Pink Ranger), Becky G (as the Yellow Ranger) and Ludi Lin (as the Black Ranger). Bryan Cranston also stars as Zordon, and Bill Hader voices Alpha 5. The movie is directed by Dean Israelite and opens March of next year. Check out the new image above and the teaser trailer below (if you missed it) and tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
